Spicy crab's legs

Well, I shall say gong-bao crab's legs. Gong-bao is a kind of dried chili in Chinese spice, very spicy one. I like to eat spicy food, don't I tell you before? ha ha ha~~ I really like to eat spicy food, especially spicy hot pot food. :) Well, hot & spicy men I also like to eat. (Joke, of course. Do not mis-understanding anything) Does it nomal to use hot & spicy in men? I only hear people use this in describing girls.

See, what else are there in that plate? That small one is fried peanuts. Also sliced scallion in that plate. The chef fired those crab's legs first, then add gong-bao, peanuts and scallion together. Really nice to eat, if you can eat spicy food.

Happy New Year to everyone again. I will have a special food as my breakfast on the 1st day of 2006. I will let you know tomorrow. :)

Steamed codfish

This is my lunch with my mother outside, today. Steamed codfish? Yes, it is good to eat in this way. Because, if the fish is not fresh, you can find it by this steamed cooking technique. Why? We do not add too much flavors in steamed food. So, the flavor you smell, the mouth feel you feel, it's the true flavor of that fish.

We only add a little sliced chili(to make it looks good), caraway, scallion and sliced ginger on the top. Really good to eat in this steamed method. Not oily, not heavy sauce or flavored.

Home made soybean milk

First, you need to soak soybeans over night. To make soybeans softer & easy to peel out layer. Then, add soybeans & water to mixer, high speed mixer. See my 2nd pic. Do you find anything special? Yes. Soybeans only in the middle part. Why? Cause I do not want to drink my soybean milk with out layer of soybeans.

Then, boil the soybean milk slowly & keep stirring. Otherwise, you will have soybean milk with smoke flavor. (or burnning flavor)

Easy to do this at home. :) Happy New Year to every one. According to our news, there will be firework in front of the 101 building in the night of 31st Dec. Maybe CNN will broadcast this.

Wu-town

Beautiful? Traditional Chinese house? Tradition Chinese image to you? This is wu-town in China. A little bit similar to Venice. Well, this place is the place I went during our Chinese lunar new year this year. (2005 ) Of course, I ate a lot of nice food here. :)

In fact, that day was very cold & cloudy. But, see my pic, still not bad in weather? ha ha ha~~~ I really like the view there, but, toilet? ha ha ha~~~ Of course, no doors. This is the very first time for me to go to China. I already knew the "special" toilets there. But, I still can not accept. That's the reason for me to take pictures of toilets in China druing my last trip to U-nan. Do you want to see "special "toilets in China? Back to see my blog in Sep. Then, you can get an idea. :)

New car show & show girls

I need to say this first. I do not this kind of show. Why? "Beauty Economics" , that's what they call this in Mainland China. The meaning of that is to use beautiful girls, or I shall say, to use young & nice in figure girls to help them sell things. See my word "use" . That means I do not think those businessmen think those girls as human beings. They treat them as "tools".

This is new car show. My office is located in Taipei world trade center. So, seeing show is easy for me. I just need to go down stairs or just need to look down. This show will be held for 1 week, sincn Dec . 24. If you have interests, you can go to Taipei world trade exhibition center 1 to see. The price of ticket for 1 person is 250 NTD. My co-worker told me.

See, there are so many men. What are they doing? See those girls who wear less or see new cars? I double it. Most of them have carmeras in their hands. What do they want? Just take a picture? Take pictures of cars or girls?

Now, more & more women buy cars here in Taiwan. Maybe I shall give those car sales an advice. Why don't you have "man power show" ? If they can have men show, of course, male models need to wear as less as possible and hot & sexy dance, I will take buying a car into my consideration. That's called "fair" . Why I need to pay for money to see show girls? I want to see "show boys", ok? Those chauvinism pigs.

Pay money? Oh, of course, they take part of money you paid for buying a car to do such promotion. So, if you buy their cars, you pay the money for launch such shows. Why can not I ask for male model show? ha ha ha~~~ I got driving license for many years, I do not want to buy a car. Why? not "fair" ~~~ No man power show ~~~ ha ha ha~~~

Something "special" in night market~~

If you live here in Taiwan, you maybe have been to night market. Well, how do you think about night market here in Taiwan? A lot of food to eat? mm, well, it's ture. But, have you ever "seen" this special show in night market? well, I saw better & more "exciting " one in Taichung. mm, men loves this. Night market "show" , free to see. No need to pay any money. Men can go to see, of course, women can,too.

First, they all dress like my 1st picture. They dress well and sing a song. Some of them are not bad in singing. And, then, here comes the girl who dresses like my 3rd pic. What does she do? Usually dancing very "hot", or like what she do in my 2nd pic.

Let me explain the "procedure" of this special show. Usually, each girl will need to sing 3 songs. When they sing the first song, usually they dress well. Then, they start to take off some clothes in singing 2nd song. When they sing the 3rd song, only "bikini" there. Understand now? Sometimes, we will have this special show in wedding party. oh, usually, this is nightmare to me. But, not all girls in this special show all take off clothes. See, the girl in my 1st pic, she only sing, no taking off clothes.

What did I see in Taichung? mm, a girl who wore a heavy coat outside but nothing inside that coat. That girl will go in front of you and open her coat for a while. Then, you can see what is inside. Of course, naked~~~~ No need my explain? ha ha ha~~~~


Well, my dear alien, have you ever seen this kind of night market show here in Taiwan? if not, that's because you didn't go with me. You went to Taichung with wrong person. Ha ha ha~~~ I usually can show people very localized Taiwanese culture. :) This is my New Year gift for you, alien in Greece. :)

Sugar & Vinegar fish

Christmas will be at the end of this week. This Sunday. Merry Christmas to everyone who visit my blog. Where will I be at that time? Same as you think, of course, sleep in my own bed with my stuffy toys.

Ok, no jokes. See this fish. It seems that it is"standing " in the middle of that plate. Usually, fish is "lying" in the middle of the plate. That's why I took this picture. This chef is very creative. How did this fish taste? The flavor of this is sour & sweet together. We add sugar, vinegar together. Sugar & vinegar together is a kind of Chinese food flavor. Enjoy it, not bad to eat. :)

3 cups stewed neritic squid

Yesterday was Saturday. But, I caught a cold. I slept all day long and only went out to eat luch with my mother. We order 4 dishes. 100 NTD for 1 dish sea food. Cheap? Yes.

I think this 3 cups one is special for you foreigners. So, I decide to write this first. Why 3 cups? Cause we need to add 1 cup of soy sauce, 1 cup of saseme oil and 1 cup of rice wine together first. Then stew food with those 3 cups sauce together. After all the sauce are almost gone, that dish is finished.

We also add some garlic, onion, Asian basil and chili. See, we usually use put food in that small pot and stew them slowly. Why? To let all sauce get into those food. I like this very much. If you do not like chili, spice & heavy flavor, maybe you won't like it. *_^ !!

Hot spring in I-lan

I-lan county is also famous for hot spring. It's carbonate hot spring. No heavy smell. My 1st & 2nd pictures were taken by me on my last trip to caoling trail. This is Chao-shi train station. You can have free hot spring just in front of train station. Not bad? ha ha. The water is very clean. The blue & brown color are the color of pool bottom.

You can go to free hot spring, like my 1st & 2nd pics. Or you can go to hot spring for 1 person. (if you want to go "2 person" is also fine, that depends on you. ^_* ! ) Like my 3rd & 4th pics. Why are there cars in my 3rd & 4th pics? Cause this so called house of hot spring is on road side. See, there are 2 doors in my 3rd pic. You can have your personal hot spring in those rooms. Why I took my 4th pic? Food, they sell food there. After you had a hot spring bath, you can buy some food to eat or drinks to drink there.

There are also free hot spring pool for people to go. But, I can not take pictures. Why? Do you think I can take pictures of naked men? Do they let me take? ha ha~~ By the way, I need to tell you this. People usually take a bath before they jump into hot spring pool in Japan & also naked, men & women are seperated in different rooms. But, in Taiwan, we usually wear swimming suit. But, this is "usually". Some hot spring pools here in Taiwan are Japan style. So, same as the rule in Japan. The best way for you to do is ask first. *_^ !!

snack food?

This is a kind of famous food in I-Lan. Sugar pickled fruits or pickled fruit with sugar? See my 1st pic, there are 10 kinds of different pickled fruit in that box. Maybe it will need to spend 200NTD to buy for 1 box. I do not know. Cause I didn't ask. My roommate in Tainan bought this for me long long time ago. At that time, it costed her 200NTD. All these picked fruits in that box tasted sweet & sour. Do you know what is that green one? It is mango. Not matured mango. We usually picked that with sugar. After finished, we ususally freeze that. After it becomes ice pickled mango, we eat this. Cold, sweet & sour, best to eat in summer.

The yellow one in my 2nd pic maybe is pickled mango. The one in my 3rd pic is olive. Ususally, you can buy a little. See, there is a spoon on the top of those pickled fruits. You can buy a whole box with different kinds of pickled fruits or weight how much you want to buy. But, different kinds of pickled fruits have different prices.

Taiwanese tourist group-4

Usually, when we go with local Taiwanese tourist group in Taiwan, we do not eat at big resturants or any resturants in 3, 4 or 5 stars hotels. We ususally eat at this very local resturants. Traveling agents usually have good relationship with those owners. Can you froeigners eat th this kind of local resturant? Maybe not. Cause maybe you think that it is a little bit dirty from outside view.

That woman who is standing in my 2nd pic is toasting. Traditional image of Taiwanese to you? Noisy, toasting, eating & drunk , is that traditional image to you? ha ha, that's true. As being a Taiwanese for 32 years, but I still can not stand for this. :)

Taiwanese tourist group-3

These pics also taken by me on my trip to caoling historical trail. Is this trail so hard to go? Why those people need to use hand stick or umbrella? That maybe the question you want to ask. Yes, that is my question,too. :)

See my 2nd pic, there are many people sitting there. mm, resting area. :) See, they are drinking water , finding food from backpack to eat & chatting. Traditional image to Taiwanese? :)

After maybe 30 mins walk, we see there are street vendors. mm, see my 3rd pic, so many people are finding food to eat there. See that women in my 4th pic, she is asking roated sausege there and she is eating ice cream,too. (She is my friend, too )

People in my 5th pic is eating their lunch box. Lunch box of Fulong is very famous. Maybe they are eating Fulong lunch box. See, it is a nice place for whole family to go. Exercise for 2 hours, I mean, walking. Then, all families sit together to eat luch box, mm, nice family activity. :)

So, my conclusion is where there are Chinese, there will be food. Am I right? :)
